Your specific itinerary will either be delivered to you at your hotel the night before the tour, or upon your arrival at New Chitose Airport.
Day 1
On arrival at New Chitose Airport, you will be met by a staff member who will process your mobile phone application and show you to the Toyota Rent-a-Car counter after you exit airport customs.
Stay at Hotel Monterey Sapporo or Cross Hotel Sapporo.
Day 2 through second-to-last day
Free at leisure to drive to your choice of amazing sightseeing spots in Hokkaido
Final day
Free at leisure until car return.
Return car to New Chitose Airport Toyota Rent-a-Car office and mobile phone to airport JTB counter.

Proceed to the Toyota Rent-a-Car location on your own, where you will complete the rental procedure for the car. Once finished, you're free to explore Hokkaido!

Please return the mobile phone at the front desk of your hotel by return enclosed envelope.

1. Please apply 11 business days before your departure date.
2. 1 breakfast is included.
3. Driver must be at least 18 years of age.
4. Persons who wish to take part in this package as a driver must fall into one of the following two categories:
A: Non-Japanese Nationals
Must show both a valid non-Japanese passport & an international driving permit that allows the holder to drive in Japan.
B: Japanese Nationals who live abroad
Must show both (i) proof of permanent residency abroad (e.g. a greencard) and (ii) either a Japanese driver's license or an international driving permit that allows the holder to drive in Japan.
5. At the time of rental, you must hold one of the following licenses and passport
If you do not have an international driver's permit that allows you to drive in Japan, car rental is not permitted.
A: International driver's license:
Those issued in accordance with the Geneva Convention of 1949 are valid. Those issued in accordance with the 1926 Paris Convention, the 1943 Washington Convention, or the 1968 Vienna Convention are not valid in Japan. The convention a license is based on is easily distinguished by date of the convention printed on the license. An international driver's license is valid for use in Japan for one year from the date of entry into Japan and cannot be renewed.
The date of entry can be confirmed by the immigration stamp in your passport.
B: Domestic licenses from France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland and Taiwan are valid in Japan if they are accompanied by the following documents:
-An official translation in Japanese issued by the Japanese embassy or consulate in those countries prior to arrival in Japan; or, an official translation in Japanese by the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF) after arrival in Japan.
-A passport
6. Please fill up the car's tank with regular gasoline before returning it. Do not use high octane or diesel fuel. If you are unable to return the car with a full tank, the car rental office will charge you for the fuel as determined the amount of refueling.
7. Mobile phone charges will be charged to customer's credit cards.

9. Child seat: No charge, available on request.
*The law requires that children under 6 years of age be secured in a child car seat.
10. All rental cars are equipped with a navigation system at no extra charge. Though the display is only in Japanese, some cars feature English voice-guided navigation.
11. All rental cars are equipped with ETC(Electronic Toll Collection) cards. The greatest benefit of ETC is that vehicles can pass smoothly through toll gates.
The benefits apply only when passing through ETC-exclusive lanes.
Please slow down to less than 20 km/h when passing through ETC-exclusive lanes.
Should the ETC card become lost or misplaced, you will bear the cost of replacing it.
