A 5-day tour that lets visitors explore the two sides of Kyushu: the exotic Nagasaki, whose particular character has been shaped by the influence of numerous foreign countries over the last 400 years, including Portugal, Holland and China; and the pretty town of Imari, where Japan's traditional culture lives on. The remote town of Okawachiyama, part of the larger Imari area, is known as being the origin of some of the finest porcelain in the world. Located in a valley, the city has a truly unique atmosphere. There are around 30 potteries here where ancient kilns still remain. Come and marvel at the Arita/Imari porcelain, whose beautiful colored designs on a milky white background have been sought after for 400 years.
